It’s a good year to stream on the nomination of the sag awards, but who and what is tested this year. Netflix is still a danger with one or more nominations in almost every category, including several picks for dog strength (three) and squid games (four) and individual nods for production such as not looking up, passing and halston. However, Apple also fared well with good Ted Lasso received five nominations, while the morning exhibition was squeezing four. Coda and the Macbeth tragedy that cannot be released also burns Apple images.
Other services also have maturity. Amazon was successful with titles such as being a soft Ricardo and bar, while the Disney Empire made his presence feel with a nomination for the handmaid fairy tale and Disney + series such as Loki and winter warriors.
Netflix also broke the cultural border – the Squid game was the first non-English series to receive sag nominations, not to mention the first Korean series. This is not completely surprising given Netflix’s desire to produce blockbusters throughout the world, but it is important considering how difficult foreign releases to break this award.
The first theater and TV material still has a significant presence in the SAG nomination. Even so, it is proven, back in part to normal in entertainment only has a limited effect – streamed shows are still developing in the current award landscape.
