RespaWn continues to expand the legend of Apex outside the root royale battle. The studio launched its first big team mode, control, as a limited time feature available starting on February 8. Mode will sound used to if you have played Destiny control or the format of the Hold-the-Points gameplay. Two teams of nine players each Vie to capture and save up to three zones, with infinite respawn for each player. The zones will provide benefits as they do in other games, but the nature of the benefits is different – there is a strong incentive to focus on the area rather than removing the enemy team.
Every zone that your team has will add points every second, up to the score limit of 1,250. You will find a random “bonus capture” that provides many points if your team holds a certain zone when the bonus timer runs out. Has a middle point and the starting point of your team and you can spawn on the middle road. And if you succeed in capturing the three points, you will start “Lockout” which guarantees victory if the points are yours when the timer ends. The tilted match should not drag longer than necessary, to say it in other ways.
Control also introduces the ranking system where players can advance through Tiers, the more they achieve for teams in certain lives. You will get the use of your main ability every time you ride a tier, so there is a lot of motivation to stay in One Piece. Respawn promises special badges and challenges for those who are interested in long-term goals.
And yes, there is a new Apex character. This game introduced Maggie Mad, a warlord inspired by max who was inspired by the maximum sentenced to fighting Apex. Just like caustic, his ability to reflect his willingness to leave morality at the door of the riots force the enemy outside the cover by burning them, and damaging the ball produces boost bearings while also exploding near the enemy. He can also highlight the enemy he shoots, and moves faster when using a rifle.
It’s too early to find out whether the control will be a permanent arena. But the Respawn strategy is clear. This fashion has the potential to keep fresh peaks for veteran players, and may expand the audience to newcomers who are not fans from the last experience of the final match of the original game match.
