With Samsung scheduled to announce the next Galaxy S flagships in February, new leaks show that the company may have a planned price change for the high-end telephone lineup. Per tweet seen by Android police from Winfuture’s Roland Quandt, Europe prices for the Galaxy S22 series will begin at € 849 (approximately $ 1,018), with the basic model of Galaxy S22 Plus and Ultra scheduled € 1,049 ($ 1,188) and € 1,249 ( $ 1,414), respectively. Effectively, this means that in 2022 the Samsung Galaxy S lineup will only cost in 2021. What’s more, Quandt’s tweet shows that the company will continue the practice of charging € 50 premium for storage tubes and pluses.
What can change is that Samsung can change the ultra variant basis model to offer less values than its predecessor. In Europe at least, € 1249 Galaxy S22 Ultra will be sent with 8GB RAM, according to Quandt, and the cost of the same amount as the money as an Ultra entry-level galaxy, which displays 12GB of RAM. Consumers in Europe will be rumored to need to pay € 100 to get Ultra S22 with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It is not clear whether Samsung will implement the same price setting strategy in the US. As an Android Police show, separate leakage earlier this month suggests the company can charge an additional $ 100 fee for each model in the Galaxy S22 lineup. As usual, we have to wait until the company shares official price information before we know how much it costs to have the latest Galaxy S cellphone.
